Preliminary Stage of Morocco Int’l Quran Contest Slated for July
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Morocco’s Awqaf Ministry said the preliminary stage of the African country’s 14th international Quran memorization, recitation and interpretation competition will be held on July 25 and 26.
According to aabbir.com, the Scholarly Council of Rabat, the capital city, will host the competition.
Four top participants in the preliminary stage will be selected to compete in the male and female sections of the international Quran contest.
Memorization of the entire Quran, interpretation of Hizbs (sections) 53 to 56 of the Quran and memorization of 5 Juzes (parts) along with observation of Tajweed principles are the categories of the competition.
Registration for the preliminary stage will continue until June 20.
According to the organizers, those aged10 to 40 years are eligible to register.
