Winners of Quran Competition in Aden Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The top participants in the “Great Quran Competition” in Aden, a port city in Yemen, were announced on June 20.

  

According to yafa-news.net, the closing ceremony of the competition was held in the city under the supervision of Yemen’ Office of Awqaf (endowments) and Guidance.

The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, cooperated in holding the competition in the holy month of Ramadan.

57 Quran activists participated in the two categories of the contest, namely memorization of the entire Quran and memorization of 15 Juzes (parts) of Quran.

In memorization of the entire Quran, Meethaq Insaf Abdulhamid, and Nazeeh Hassan Ali won the first and second ranks respectively. The joint winners of the third place were Ali Talal, Bassam Hady, and Abdulkareem Abdullah.

In the second category, Osama Faris, Abdulrahman Allaw and Ibrahim Ghazi came first to second respectively.

The six-day Quran competition was held from the 21st to 26th day of Ramadan.
