Winners of Iran FTZs Quran Competition Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Top participants in the 7th edition of a Quran memorization, recitation and Tarteel competition in Iranian Free Trade Zones were announced.

 

The online competition was organized on Kish Island in the holy month of Ramadan and the winners were announced on Eid al-Fitr.

A team from Arvand and Kish won the first rank and the participants from Anzali and Qeshm were the second and third winners of the competition, respectively.

The closing ceremony was held with the participation of a number of religious and political officials, including Hojat-ol-Islam Ahmad Hassanzadeh, Friday prayer leader of the island, and Sheikh Ya’qoub Shams, Friday prayer leader of its Sunni Muslims.

Abdol Hadi Feqhizadeh, Quran and Etrat deputy of the Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance, Mohammadreza Mosayyebzadeh, director general of Quran and Etrat of the Education Ministry and Mehdi Qarasheykhlu, head of the Quranic Affairs Center of Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, were other participants in the program.

A message by Hamidreza Mo’meni, the President’s advisor and secretary of the FTZ Supreme Council was read out at the ceremony.

Mohammadreza Pourmoeen, secretary of FTZ Quranic affairs said at the event that besides Quranic cultural centers and mosques which are actively involved in Quranic activities on Kish Island, a special Quranic center has also been opened in the region.

He expressed hope that more special centers will be established in Free Trade Zones and Quranic programs and institutes will be supported more this year.
