Development of Nat’l Quran Recitation Plan Urged

The Quran and Etrat Deputy of Iran’s Culture Ministry underlined the importance of expanding the Quran recitation plan in the country.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati said the plan offers great opportunities for spreading the Quranic culture and teachings in society, especially among the youth, IRNA reported.
He said the culture ministry will spare no efforts to support implementing the plan in different provinces of the country.
According to the official, the plan, which was first introduced in 10 provinces in 2010, aims to identify Quranic talents in society and promoting Quranic teachings.
He added that the youth taking part in the plan learn recitation of the Holy Quran in the recitation styles of prominent Qaris Mustafa Esmaeil, Abdul Basit Muhammad Abdul Samad, Muhammad Sediq Minshawi, and Shahat Muhammad Anwar.
