Quran with Ten Qira’ates Published in Kuwait

Mubarak al-Hayyan, the spokesman for the office, said that the Mus’haf is the first of its kind in the Islamic world.

He said it contains the ten readings of the Quran on the two sides of the pages in a clear and orderly manner written in Othmani script.

He added that it also includes a tabulation in which all the styles of recitation have been explained.

It has printed in good and clear colors that everyone could read easily, al-Hayyan added.

The spokesman went on to say that it helps qaris and researchers have easy access to different readings of the Quran on the same page.

He noted that the office has also published translations of the Quran in several languages as well as an interpretation of the Holy Book.

The ten Qira’ates of the Quran are the ten styles of recitation and this does not mean any difference in meanings of the verses.

It has been said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) recited the Quran in several different styles and these styles have been handed down by the companions and then Tabe’ein to the next generations.
