According to AL-Mayadeen, 80 movies, short films and animation films will be screened at the festival.
The cities of al-Quds, Ramallah, Haifa, Gaza and Bait Lahm will host the cultural event.
Dubbed Palestine Cinema Days, the festival is annually organized by Filmlab.
It is aimed at placing Palestine on the map of the international film industry and movie landscape, in addition to promoting local and international films across several venues in different cities within Palestine.
According to Hanna Atallah, the founder and director of Filmlab, movies that are produced by Palestinians or are about Palestine will compete for the festival’s top prize.
There is also a Free Bird Film Award section in which movies from other countries and featuring other subjects can also compete, Atallah said.
During the festival, a book about the reality and developments of Palestinian cinema will also be unveiled.
