This is according to the institute's director Hojat-ol-Islam Mojtaba Mohammadi as he announced the details of the competition at a press conference on Saturday.

The competition has two categories: Quran recitation (Taqleed) for men and Quran memorization for both men and women.

The recitation category requires the participants to imitate one of the four selected recitations by renowned Qaris: Sheikh Mohamed Siddiq El-Minshawi, Sheikh Abdul Basit Abdul Samad, Sheikh Shahat Muhammad Anwar, and Sheikh Mustafa Ismail.

The competition is open to applicants from all over the world, but only one finalist from each country will be selected.

The final stage will take place at Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad on January 6-7.

The deadline for registration is January 20, and interested candidates can apply through the website of the institute.
